HP unveils ProBook 400 G3 series business laptops
HP has updated its ProBook 400 G3 series of business-oriented laptop with three new models, a 13-inch ProBook 430 G3, 14-inch ProBook 440 G3 and two 15-inch variants, ProBook 450 G3 and 455 G3. All new laptops comes pre-installed with Windows 10 Pro, but Windows 10 Home is available with downgrade rights to Windows 8.1 or Windows 7.
The smallest of the lot, ProBook 430 G3 comes with Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 Intel Skylake processors paired with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB hard drive or 128GB Solid state drive. There is also an M.2 slot that allows installing an addition SSD drive.
Connectivity options include two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, an HDMI port, audio, Gigabit Ethernet, an SD card reader, 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2.It also has a spill-resistant, optional backlit keyboard.
The 13.3-inch ProBook 430 G3 can be configured with an additional touchscreen display.
Both the 14-inch ProBook 440 G3 and the two 15-inch variants, ProBook 450 G3 and 455 G3 share the same specs as the 430 G3 but comes with different screen options.The 14-inch model is available with either 1366 x 768 or 1600 x 900 resolution, while the biggest of the trio comes with either 1366 x 768 or 1920 x 1080 display.
The 15-inch ProBook 450 G3 comes with Intel Skylake CPU, while the ProBook 455 G3 features an AMD A4, A8 or A10 processors.
HP claims the notebooks have "long battery life," but the company did not give specific numbers.
The HP ProBook 400 series will be available this month, starting at $499.
