How to: Show app icon on folders in ES File Explorer.
When we use any File management software we generally get confused and lost in the folders. It takes a bit of time to locate the exact folder. The problem increases when we have hidden folders enabled [those who start with a dot(.)].
The app which I have used here is ES File Explorer. It is one of the best file managers on the play store with a user rating of 4.6! It not only provides easy file management but also provides ton of features which includes Application Manager, Root manager(requires root), Remote file manager, file compressor and extractor, Quick sharing and much more... In one of my earlier blog post I demonstrated you to send music files using ES File Explorer.
Recently I came across a new feature of ES File Explorer in which we can show icons on respective app folders. This makes folders easier to locate and hence saves plenty of time.
The feature is "Show icon on folder".
Steps :
- Touch on the 'fast access' button at the top left corner.
- A sliding menu will open up.Under 'Tools' section, Find "Show icon on folder" and Enable it.
- You can see the icons are displayed on respective folders.
Still you may find some of the folders which does not have a icon on them. It may be because ES file explorer might not link that folder to the app.
Anyways, you can do it yourself. Read further to know how..
