BlackBerry Venice Android Slider to feature BB Productivity Suite and more
BlackBerry's Venice Android slider smartphone has been in the news for quite sometime now courtesy Evan Blass. Venice is said to be the company's first Android phone with a slide out QWERTY keyboard.
Also known as @evleaks, the new leak from suggests that BlackBerry Venice will come with BlackBerry Productive Suite. On of the leaks show screenshot that comprises a list of BlackBerry related .apk files. Plus there is a video that demos the BlackBerry Productivity Suite running on the Venice Slider.
BlackBerry Productivity Suite includes the BlackBerry Hub, BlackBerry Calendar, BlackBerry Contacts, Documents to Go, Input, and Universal Search. BlackBerry's Communication Suite includes BBM, Worklife for BlackBerry, BBM Meetings, BBM Protected, SecuSuite for BlackBerry, and Global Support. Lastly, the Security Suite includes BlackBerry Enterprise Service 12, VPN Authentication, Secure Work Spaces, Enterprise Identity by BlackBerry, BlackBerry Blend, and Password Keeper.
BlackBerry's Android phone will have some of the company's important BB10 features and the company will also bundle its own offerings to differentiate the phone from the rest running Android. The presence of a large number of pre-loaded apps points out that BlackBerry Venice will not be a stock Android device.
As per previous rumors, the BlackBerry Venice is said to feature 5.4-inch Quad HD display, a 1.8 GHz Hexa-core Snapdragon 808 64-bit SoC, 3GB RAM, come with a 18-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It is said to be available through Sprint, T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon in November.
