BlackBerry Venice Android slider phone poses for the camera

BlackBerry's upcoming Android smartphone, Venice have once again emerged in a new set of live images. The live images offer a detailed look at the Android OS running on the slider phone, the phone's user interface, chassis design and more.

The photos show the same slider QWERTY keyboard, curved display and 18-megapixel main camera with LED flash, which we have seen before. Venice is seen running on stock Android OS (Lollipop) with custom designs. One of the photo show the phone's recent apps menu and the shortcut/widget selection menus. Lifting the finger up the center brings up Google Now, BBM and a local search with BlackBerry logo.

Also seen in the image are several BlackBerry shortcuts including compose emails, BBM messages, texts, email contacts and Text contacts. Calendar and agenda shortcuts along with one for adding contacts and viewing cards are also seen. There is also a picture of the boot screen with BlackBerry logo near the top, followed by the phrase "powered by Android". The Venice is said to show an image of bugdroid holding a sheild while booting up indicating that the device is secure for enterprise users as well.

The BlackBerry Venice would carry the model number STV100-6 and run 64-bit hexa-core Snapdragon 808 chip. Previous rumors suggest that BlackBerry Venice will have a 5.4-inch Quad HD display and pack 3GB RAM and 5-megapixel front shooter. The slider phone is said to arrive on all four U.S carries, AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobiles in November.
