Lenovo A6000, A6000 Plus gets Android Lollipop update in India
Lenovo has started rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop update to two of its popular handsets, the A6000 and A6000 Plus. Until now both the phones operated on Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
The Lenovo A6000 was launched back in January, following immense response, Lenovo launched a refreshed variant of the phone, A6000 Plus back in April with more power.
The Android Lollipop update bring Material Design with bold, colorful, and responsive UI design, better notifications, battery saver feature, better security including Android Smart Lock, New Quick Settings, Improved network hand offs, flexible sharing, faster, smoother and more powerful experience with ART, new languages and more. The lock scfeen and homescreen wallpapers will be changed after the update.
The Android Lollipop update size for A6000 is 995MB and for the A6000 Plus is 1.9GB and is availanle OTA. The updates are being rolled out over the air in phases, so not everyone will get it right away.
In a statement announcing the start of the Android 5.0 Lollipop update rollout, Lenovo said it has sold 1.3 million units of A6000 and A6000 Plus till date and both are Lenovo's best selling 4G LTE phones in India.
