Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 with 5-inch HD display, 13MP camera announced
Alcatel OneTouch has announced OneTouch Flash 2, camera centric smartphone and the successor to last year's sleeper hit handset 'Flash'. The handset falls in the mid-range category and has a curved back with contoured sides for a better grip.
Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 features 5-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) IPS LCD display and is equipped with 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 64-bit processor with Mali T720 GPU and 2GB LPDDR3 RAM. On-board storage is 16GB, further expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and has dual-SIM slots.
Camera features include 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Samsung S5K3M2 ISOCELL sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens with blue glass optical filter and Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF). The rear camera can shoot 1080p videos. On the front sits a 5-megapixel selfie camera with Soft LED flash, OV5648 1/4" sensor and f/2.2 aperture.
On the connectivity front, Flash 2 supports 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It is fueled by 3000mAH battery that offers 10 hours of talk time, 30 hours of music playback, and 600 hours of standby time. Also supported is a Smart Power Saving Mode feature. The device comes with either a Volcanic Grey or Mica White exteriors.
The Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 will release in India on October 20 exclusively on Flipkart. The pricing will be revealed at that time. It will also roll out in Philippines, Thailand (September 25), Indonesia (September 29), Vietnam (October 13), Malaysia (October 15) and Singapore via online retailer LAZADA.
